Nestled among the hills of beautiful Arcadia Valley about 5 miles outside the Missouri towns of Arcadia and Ironton lies a quiet little "piece of heaven."  From the beginning, entertaining and sharing the beauty of our Valley Mists Farm brought joy to our family.

 

In 1971, having no road at the time, my parents carried my sister and me through the tall woods to see this 120 serene acres of woodland. We immediately fell in love with the valley and the long deserted 2-story log cabin (circa. 1839) that sits on the property. Through the years, several additions were made to the tiny cabin to accommodate family and friends. My husband, Charlie and I are blessed to now make this our home and to have the opportunity to share it with you.
 

We originally built the barn and gazebo in 2015 for our daughter's wedding with the intent of the barn becoming my husband's workshop afterwards. With some encouragement from family and friends and my sweet husband's willingness, along with our enjoyment of entertaining, it seemed only logical (and fun) to open our own wedding & special event venue.

Ever since I was a little girl, I remember playing wedding. Whether it was dressing up as a bride marrying an imaginary groom or being the "minister" on the playground, I wanted to be a part of weddings.
